I have a problem. I am addicted to Twitter. Like many people, I didn't get the point of it as first. It's like Facebook but only with status updates? And you are limited to only 140 characters? What's the point of that? But, I set up an account. I sent a tweet. Um, what's the point of this, I asked?
Happy April Fool's Day. Perhaps the dumbest faux-holiday there is. I particularly dislike it because I always forget about it and am quite gullible. You can tell me the most outrageous thing on April 1 and I won't think, "Oh right, it's April Fool's Day." I will believe you. Look at that--April Fool's Day causes people to lose their trust in their fellow human beings. Why would you want to do that? Don't be a part of the problem. Just move on with calling it "April First."
Thank you for your support.
I love live music. It is one of the greatest of life's pleasures. Good as live music can be on its own, there are a few things that can greatly enhance the live music experience: 1) Having a band knock your socks off and completely exceed any expectations you had for the show; 2) Having a band be even better live than they are on recordings; and 3) Having the experience be that of a combined concert and dance party. Miike Snow performed in Philadelphia on Thursday night and and hit every one of these enhanced concert experience points.
