So, yeah. Bynum's look or RG3's? Exactly.
Following the Washington Redskins loss in the NFC Wildcard game to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, injured rookie quarterback Robert Griffin III appeared at his postgame press conference looking neat and stylish. His braids were pulled back by a thin yellow headband that framed his youthful face, a fitting contrast to his gray pinstriped vest. A styling job well done, I thought.
This Andrew Bynum hair situation has gotten deep.
SportsCenter did a segment on it this morning. They weren't sure what to say, either. But the clearest case of the impact of the look came from my friend Jimmy Williams at War Room Sports. So moved was he by Bynum's hair that he could only express himself through song.
I promise you, once you watch this video you too will be singing his powerful words.
Any excuse to talk about Allen Iverson, the one and only AI in my book, I will take. And if it's an opportunity to reference his famous "practice" rant, then even better.
SportsCenter informed its viewers this morning that today marks the anniversary of several notable events in the NBA. My favorite of these moments is featured below. If you can believe it, AI's infamous "practice" press conference took place 9 years ago today. How times flies. Oh how I miss you, Allen Iverson.
